Core Web Vitals are Google's user experience ranking signals. Performance issues detected by the scanner map to specific CWV metrics:
Slow TTFB, excessive JavaScript blocking the main thread, and large unoptimised images are the primary drivers of poor LCP. TTFB above 600ms makes it nearly impossible to achieve good LCP without aggressive caching.
Images without explicit width and height attributes are the most common cause of layout shift. The browser cannot reserve the correct space before the image loads, causing the layout to jump as content loads.
Too many JavaScript files, particularly those loaded synchronously in the head, block the main thread and delay interactive response time. Reducing the number of blocking scripts directly improves INP.
